If you are looking for kids church in Jasper, Alabama, the real question may not be, “Does this church have a kids program?”
The real question is, “Is there a place for my child, and will my child be safe there?”
You may be wondering what happens when you arrive. You may want to know who will care for your child, whether anyone will learn your child’s name, and what your 4-year-old, or your baby, toddler, or elementary-age child, will actually do.
This guide walks you through Cornerstone Kids at Cornerstone Church so you know what to expect before you come. We will cover Sunday check-in, every age group from nursery through age 12, your child’s first Sunday, Wednesday night kids classes, and the questions parents ask most often.
What Cornerstone Kids Looks Like on a Sunday
Cornerstone Kids is designed to give families a clear, welcoming place to begin.
- Bella’s Café opens: 10:00 AM
- Kids check-in opens: 10:15 AM
- Sunday worship service: 10:45 AM
- Location: 7719 AL-195, Jasper, AL 35503
Arriving at 10:15 AM gives you time to find the check-in table, meet the team, and walk your child to the right room without rushing. A team member will help you find the right space for your child’s age.
Our kids workers are background-checked. In the nursery and toddler rooms, a team member stays with your child throughout the class time.
Children ages 6–12 usually worship with their families during the Sunday service. On the first Sunday of each month, children ages 6–12 have a full kids service of their own. That service includes Bible teaching, worship, and fun at a level designed for elementary-age kids.
You can learn more on the Cornerstone Kids page, or use the Visit page to see what your first Sunday can look like.
What Happens at Each Age?
Every child is different. Some children are ready to separate quickly. Others need more time. Our goal is to give each age group a welcoming place to learn, play, worship, and feel known.
Nursery, Ages 0–2
The nursery is for children from birth through age 2.
It is a safe, staffed room where background-checked caregivers are ready to care for your little one while you worship. You can tell the team about your child’s routine, allergies, comfort needs, or anything else that will help them provide good care.
You are welcome to walk your child to the nursery door and meet the caregiver. You can ask questions before you leave. You can also stay nearby for a little while if that helps your child, and helps you feel comfortable.
The nursery gives parents a way to worship while knowing their baby or young toddler is being cared for by a team member.
Toddler Class: Ages 3–5
The toddler class is for preschoolers ages 3 through 5.
This is the room where most 4-year-olds land. If you have been searching for “kids church for 4 year olds” or “church programs for preschoolers,” this is the age group to look for at Cornerstone Kids.
The class is built for short attention spans and growing independence. Children can expect:
- Play
- A simple Bible lesson
- Songs
- Repetition
- Teaching at a level a preschooler can actually hold onto
Preschool children learn through doing, repeating, singing, and hearing the same simple truth more than once. The goal is not to expect a 4-year-old to sit like an adult. The goal is to help your child feel comfortable, cared for, and introduced to God’s Word in an age-appropriate way.
Kids, Ages 6–12
Children ages 6–12 usually worship with their families in the main service on Sunday.
This gives elementary-age kids the opportunity to see their family worship together. They can sing, listen, and experience church as part of the whole congregation.
On the first Sunday of every month, kids ages 6–12 go to a full kids service. This service is built for elementary-age children and includes Bible teaching, worship, and fun.
The model is simple: younger children have nursery and toddler care, while older kids are included in family worship most Sundays and gather for a dedicated kids service once a month.
